SSDI are a valued partner in supporting diminishing source
products and hold stock of many obsolete parts. Using their
expertise they also can supply modern die in older style
packages. They are a member of the UK Component Obsolescence
Group (COG) and actively support the COG initiatives.
Besides stocks of its own die therefore, SSDI have a large
holding of other manufacturer's die that includes Rectifiers,
Schottkys, Transistors, Thyristors, MOSFETS and Zeners. Die can
be supplied in wafer form or waffle packs to commercial or
industrial levels and/or with Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) in
accordance with MIL-STD-883 Methods 5008 Class H or K.
Die can be packaged to suit the customers needs, be it surface
mount or through hole. Typical packages are Axial glass bead,
SMS, DO-series, TO-series, LCC’s, CERPACKTM, SEDPACKTM,
& MILPACKTM. The screening flow can be to a
customers control drawing or follow the TX, TXV or S-Level
screening that is in accordance with PRF-19500 and is listed in
a SSDI publication Q363 Rev.B available from Campbell Collins.
SSDI uses state of the art high quality hermetically sealed
packaging for your most rigorous applications.
A typical example of where SSDI excel in terms of performance is
with the ubiquitous 1N5811 Ultra Fast
Rectifier widely used in the Hi-Rel marketplace. SSDI's
equivalent device - the 1N7068 - is housed in an identical
package, yet delivers 67% more Forward Current , 160% higher
Surge Current capability and typically a
lower Forward Voltage Drop than the 1N5811.
